California Continued...

Both Friday and Saturday we took a hike up a nearby mountain and enjoyed the scenery. The trees are so mature, and beautiful.

We thought this next shot was so cool!! These are the roots of a tree growing, it must have blown over, come uprooted, but then continued to grow. These are the roots that are no longer underground. Doesn't the one in the middle like like a snake?

We walked through a nearby cemetery on our way home and it was beautiful.

Mama Jo had to take a breather part way through!!

After our hike yesterday, we went to the Ravenswood winery, just 2 miles from our Bed & Breakfast, which just so happens to be one of my favorite wines!!

Jo, Me and Trish

After Ravenswood we headed back to the B&B to get cleaned up and head to the WEDDING!! Susan looked absolutely breathtaking. This wedding was one of the nicest weddings I've ever been to. SO much love and thought was put into every bit of it.
Susan and her Dad...

Introducing, MR. AND MRS. BRIAN BOYD!!!

The wedding was outdoors on a very private, and beautiful lawn at the Sonoma Lodge. Susan's Uncle was the officiant and the service was so beautiful and heartfelt. The words spoken were so touching. Brian and Susan said their own wedding vows which were total tear jerkers!! Gosh, I love the two of them! And the weather... the weather couldn't have been more beautiful! Cool, crisp and SUNNY!! The cocktail hour was indoors, just a few steps away.

We sat at the Napa table...
And their beautiful monogrammed EVERYTHING!!
Napkins, matchboxes, programs, menus... so classy.

Oh..... my...... goodness... the CAKE.
What a beauty.

And I didn't discuss this with Susan, but I have a feeling each and every song played throughout the evening, was specifically picked by Susan and Brian, and there was probably a specific line up as to when each song was to be played, because the music couldn't have been more perfect.

Mama Jo and Baby Miah danced a few songs too!

And Brian is QUITE the dancer!

There was a lot of dancing... although I was paranoid if I danced that my Spanx were gonna show under my dress (John had strict instructions to be on "Spanx Patrol" all night) and John was joking saying his knee was gonna give out.... Holy crap are we getting old or what!?!? John and I were laughing out loud talking about this!!

A beautiful weekend.
A beautiful town.
A beautiful wedding.
And a beautiful COUPLE!!
Thank you, Susan and Brian, for a wonderful weekend and for being the wonderful people that you are. We are blessed to have you in our lives.
We are now back home and can't get enough of our little A-man that we missed so much. Let the ADREY BLOGPOSTS resume!!!
