This post is way overdue. Our dear friend, Mike, turned the big 4-0 on Christmas Eve and his wife, Jen, threw one heck of a surprise party for him. It was a University of Michigan theme party and she thought of everything.... Blue/Maize lays, Blue/Maize pom poms, Blue/Maize cocktail umbrellas, Blue/Maize gumballs and chocolates... and the list goes on!! We all waited patiently (with margaritas in hand, of course) and quietly for his arrival!!
Mike arrived and had no clue (he says). He turned the corner (with his brother), and...
SURPRISE!!!!
Being born on Christmas Eve Mike said he never had a real "party".
Well, he had one this year!!
KK and Allison came.
They brought their DS's with them and settled in in the booths!

Mike kept saying to me, "I'm gonna put my cupcake in Jen's face. Watch." as he was strategically trying to find the best position to get the most icing up her nostrils.
I warned Mike that doing it was NOT a good idea. Because what started out as a nice family photo...
Ended really bad for MIKE!!
I can't look at this picture without laughing because Jen, WHILE PERFECTLY SMOOSHING A CUPCAKE IN MIKE'S FACE, is STILL staring at the camera and smiling! LOLOLOL!
She's a true pro.
And Mike's mom couldn't get out of there fast enough!

Way to go, Jen. You threw a GREAT party for your hubby. So glad we could celebrate his special day. You guys mean the world to us.
